“Cake is the answer no matter the question”- Unknown

Crave Dessert Studio formally known as Carman’s Creation started as a hobby, when Carman began making desserts and experimenting with dipped items for family and friends. After sharing her work on social media, people began requesting her for dessert tables for baby showers, weddings, birthday parties, etc. After finally deciding to go full time, Carman opened her first store front in June 2017 in Eastwood Syracuse, NY.

Crave Dessert Studio became a great community staple, with customers especially loving her specialty “Crave Cups,” two cupcakes layered with frosting inside a chocolate cup with flavors changing every week. Crave has been featured on the cover of The Good Life Central New York Magazine (pictured above) as well as articles on Syracuse.com and Syracuse New Times. Crave has also been featured on Thrillist, a national marketing company. Still community has always been first to Tykemia Carman, as she sponsors events throughout the city, and is most passionate about personalized events. In 2018, Crave Dessert Studio received the award for “Best Cupcakes” in Syracuse by the community through their votes of Syracuse New Times. Tykemia Carman also welcomed her first son in fall of 2018, making the decision to close the store front to put family first, and offer catering only. Crave will still participate in local community festivals like Taste of Syracuse and Bacon Festival, and offer a series of pop up shops throughout the year.
